Fair Trade or FAIRTRADE

When talking about fairly traded products, the word single word ‘Fairtrade’ is used to refer to products that have been given the FAIRTRADE Mark by the Fairtrade Foundation:

The more generic term fair trade simply refers to any products that have been fairly traded. The WFTC recognises that some products that do not carry the FAIRTRADE mark are in fact fairly traded.

However, we always recommend that the best way to be sure the products you buy are fair trade is to buy ‘Fairtrade’ products - those that carry the FAIRTRADE mark.
