14/10/2008WOKINGHAM FAIR TRADE CAMPAIGN CELEBRATES DIRECTORY LAUNCH AT MORRISONS
We all know Fairtrade is an important issue for consumers… but is it easy enough for us to find the right products and make the right choices?

It is now – thanks to the launch of the latest Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign (WFTC) Fairtrade Directory, which provides an extensive list of Fairtrade products available throughout Wokingham borough and details of the establishments that stock them.

THE Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign has received a massive boost from the area's political leaders.

All four MPs who represent the borough have agreed to back the campaign.

A newly published DFID survey of over 2000 people has revealed that 74% now agree that they can use their shopping choices positively to tackle poverty.

In response the Fairtrade Foundation has paid tribute to the tireless work of campaigners across the country including the Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign (WFTC).
03/12/2007Wokingham Borough Council acknowledges the WFTC's work
On Thursday November 29 the full Council meeting debated the following motion:

Motion 286 submitted by Mrs E Siggery
This Council applauds the work carried out by the Wokingham Fair Trade group and the fact that they have met many of the criteria to make Wokingham a fair trade Borough. We support this initiative and the fact that it has been achieved with minimal use of taxpayers' money.

The Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign (WFTC) is looking for all the workplaces in Wokingham Borough that use Fairtrade products.

There's no fair too far for the Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign (WFTC) - and last week the group caught up with film buffs in Bracknell and green gurus in Hurst in its wide-ranging work to promote Fairtrade goods in the area.
