Joining the WFTC

If you are concerned about fair trade issues, and would like to help us raise awareness of these and promote fair trade in the Wokingham borough, then please consider joining as a member of the campaign. If you have any queries relating to membership, please contact us at:

membership@wokingham-fairtrade.org.uk

A full year's standard membership costs only £5 per person, and concessions are available for family memberships, students abd OAPs.

Members of the Wokingham Fair Trade Campaign receive:

  • A welcome pack including latest news from the Fairtrade foundation
  • A collection of the WFTC's information leaflets.
  • A copy of the Wokingham Borough Fairtrade Directory
  • Quarterly newsletters
  • Invitations to quarterly events (usually tastings, video showings or other informative social evenings on fair trade related subjects)
  • Instant notification whenever a new edition of the directory is published or tickets for any event go on sale
  • The opportunity to meet other people interested in fair trade and wider ethical consumer issues
  • A point of contact for any questions they may have about fair trade issues, or concerns they would like the campaign to investigate
  • The knowledge that they have provided extra support to the fair trade movement and are helping to encourage fairer trading across the borough!
  • The WFTC is a campaigning organisation. Most members join in order to further support people on the developing world, and help encourage others in Wokingham Borough to do so. Therefore the WFTC does not waste funds on gimmicks for members - it puts all subscription money straight into campaign efforts such as awareness events, reprints of the Wokingham borough Fairtrade Directory, and support for developing world producer organisations.

If you're not a member, but would be willing to help us spread the fair trade message, then please contact us at:

    campaign@wokingham-fairtrade.org.uk

The WFTC also offers members the option to receive their correspondence by email if they wish, to save on postage costs and paper.
